The Great Gatsby

I never had to read this in high school and I'm making myself a goal to read more of the classics.  This one turned out pretty good.  It's set in about 1922 and gives an interesting glimpse into what life was like then.

A new movie based on this book is coming out next spring and I'm really excited to see it since I'm a Baz Luhrmann fan.  Not sure who he is or what he's directed?  Here, I'll tell you....Strictly Ballroom, Romeo + Juliet (Leonardo DiCaprio version), Moulin Rouge, and Australia.  He has a quirky style that I really like.

This is a classic that everyone should probably read because a) it isn't very long and b) you can then say you've read it!
