The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent

This book is about the Salem witch trials. It is told by a nine year old girl who watches her mother be accused. It is definitely different than I thought it would be. It really has more details about how hard life was for those early settlers. I assumed it would have more twists and turns to the story but it was very straight forward. It was a bit anti-climatic but still worth a read. I would give it a 6 1/2 out of 10. This is my first post so I really hope I did it correctly! Happy reading to you all.
