I forgot about this book I read last winter. It is a historical fiction that takes place in the South during slavery times. It is written from the perspective of the daughter of a slave family and a slave girl so it jumps back and forth. I listened to it so it wasn't hard for me because they had different voices, but some who read it say that can be kind of confusing (remembering who is speaking).
It is based off of the true story of two sisters that were against slavery and what they tried to do about it. It's a touch slow, but I enjoyed it.
